Deee-Lite foi um trio formado em Nova Iorque no ano de 1986 com Lady Missi Kier nos vocais acompanhada por mais 2 DJs, o ucraniano Super DJ Dmitry e o japonês Jungle DJ Towa Towa.
O grupo gravou seu primeiro álbum em 1990 o “World Clique” com o megahit “Groove is in the heart”. Gravaram mais dois álbuns "Infinity Within" (1992) e "Dewdrops in the Garden" (1994) com uma sonoridade mais sensual influenciados pelo crescimento das festas raves. Dois anos depois logo após lançarem o álbum de remixes "Sampladelic Relics and Dancefloor Oddities" (1996) resolveram dissolver o grupo.
